Climbing routes in Upper Bavaria

When the mood barometer climbs...

Bayrischzell landscape

Climbing is trendy, climbing is cool - and climbing is good for body and soul. Children in particular like to climb, provided they can follow their natural urge to move unhindered. The movement routine for climbing strengthens the whole person and sharpens all the senses. It also stimulates and trains motor skills, improves coordination, concentration and body awareness as well as mindfulness and alertness. In addition, climbing has a positive effect on self-confidence and contributes to a positive mood and attitude towards life.

There is hardly any other sport in which responsibility and trust are as existential as in climbing. The belayer literally holds the life of his climbing partner in his hands. This trains responsible interaction with one another and deepens the relationship between the belayer and the climbing partner.

Klettern als Grenzerfahrung

When climbing personal limits are constantly being tested, explored and overcome in the course of exploring different route types and levels of difficulty. Belaying, in particular, is a key aspect of climbing that is highly demanding and requires a complex understanding of belaying techniques, which must be trained and developed theoretically and practically. The risk of injury when climbing and belaying in rocky terrain must also be taken into consideration. Sharp edges, spikes, rocky outcrops, ledges and sloping or boulder terrain at the base of a wall pose hazards.

Equipment hire and climbing courses are available from our partner Top on Mountain.
