Tourism tax
State-recognised health and tourism resorts are entitled to levy a tourism tax on guests staying in the municipality for health and recreation purposes. The legal basis for this is a legally effective municipal tourist tax statute. The tourism tax is collected from overnight guests via their respective hotel or accommodation. The tourism tax came into effect on 1 January 2011 and is charged all year round. It is not included in the room rate.
Tourism tax is charged per person per day:
Adults 18+: €3.00
Children 6+: €1.50
Conference and seminar participants: €1.50
