Winter Holidays in Bavaria without Skiing

From first gentle rides to longer natural toboggan runs: Around Bayrischzell, varied sledging adventures await the whole family. At Winter Adventure Park Tannerfeld, a slope of around 200 metres invites you to enjoy fun descents. If you are looking for an even longer ride, head to the Obere Firstalm at Spitzingsee, where a 2.5 km natural toboggan run leads through the snow-covered mountain landscape.

Jump into the tube and off you go into the snow adventure! At Winter Adventure Park Tannerfeld, a special family highlight awaits. On dedicated snow tubing tyres, you race down an approximately 300-metre snow channel with several banked curves. A thrilling experience for everyone who loves action in the snow.

Children up to 8 years must be accompanied by an adult. A ski helmet is recommended.

Skates on and off you go! At the natural ice rink at Seeberg in Bayrischzell, families can skate free of charge when ice conditions are suitable. A particularly special experience: when weather conditions allow, the illuminated ice rink also invites you to enjoy an evening skate together.

Wrapped up warmly in blankets, you travel by horse-drawn sleigh through the snow-covered mountain landscape. The approximately one-hour ride starts at Storrhof in Geitau and leads through Mieseben at the foot of Miesing, past the gliding airfield to Klarerhof and back again. Rides are offered on selected Fridays and are free with the Bayrischzell Guest Card. Advance registration with the Tourist Information Office is required.

Step outside the hotel and straight into the snow fun! On the snow hill right next to Das Bayrischzell, children can try their first sledging runs, build snowmen or make snow angels. With no journey required, there is plenty of time for spontaneous adventures in the fresh mountain air. And when cheeks start to feel cold, your cosy hotel room is only a few steps away.
