Bayrischzell borders directly on Tyrol, and many mountain tours even cross the border. Tyrol also offers plenty of attractive destinations for day trips. Just across the border lies the idyllic Lake Thiersee, while further along the Inn Valley you can explore the old town of Kufstein and, a little further away, Innsbruck.

The Slyrs Distillery in Neuhaus am Schliersee, the brewery at Schloss Valley, the Dinzler Coffee Roastery at Irschenberg and the handmade paper mill in Gmund all offer fascinating insights and experiences.
Hiking at Ackernalm near Landl, swimming at Lake Thiersee or enjoying the atmosphere of Kufstein, the “Pearl of Tyrol”: the excursion bus from Schliersee via Fischbachau and Bayrischzell to Kufstein opens up a wide range of possibilities for excursions and activities in the Tyrolean Unterland.
