This was our second year at this resort and will likely be our last. The theme I would give Hohe Salve Sportresort during our stay was "inconsistent". The Sportresort is in a prime location right across the street of a ski lift in a small town making it the stand out even more. Being a modern, higher price point hotel resort in a very well connected ski area, my group was mostly underwhelmed during our visit. 1. Reception We begin at check-in, where the hostess did less than the bare minimum (i.e. gave us our room keys). I had to request our guest passes for public transportation, even standing with my dog, reception did not inform me that the dog would require a muzzle on the bus, which completely ruined the planning for the day as I was politely informed by the bus driverand had to go back to get the muzzle. Consequently, I missed my infrequent connection to meet my group at another berg hutte for lunch. Additionally, at the end of our stay did we only read that we could have bought our lift tickets from the reception. During checkout, we were reviewing the invoice and when asked regarding the food & drink line item which was nearly 6.5x the total of the receipts we signed, we were falsely informed that this was the cost of the pension. Only when we returned home did I compare the booking confirmation with the pension/half-board meals included did we realize we were grossly overcharged! We are currently waiting for a response via email to resolve this issue. Also to note, last year we also had an incorrect bill, making this the only consistency of our experiences the last 2 years. 2. Restaurant While the food in the restaurant was very good in some courses, we were disappointed at the vegetarian options which 6 out of our 7 dinners were baked options making it less exciting. The wait staff was also very inconsistent with some servers absolutely bubbly, attentive, and helpful, while others completely unaware, clueless and disorganized. Unfortunately, we experienced the latter service quality more than half of our stay. Breakfast, in general, could not be faulted. Bar staff for evening drinks was consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive to our evening game night routine. 3. Room Cleaning Our room was cleaned perfectly our first day and the last 2 days include attention to our belongings, but the days in between looked as if our room was cleaned by a teenager in a rush. The variations were quite drastic. The resort itself is maintained and cleaned to a good standard.
